Most Equal Comrade's attempt to deny knowing Gruber comes off really lame

The way the MEC characterized him in his Brisbane remarks immediately failed the smell test:

Obama describes Gruber as "some adviser who never worked on our staff." While that may be technically correct, it would depend on what the definition of "staff" is. While Gruber didn't take the pay cut that joining Obama's staff may have cost him, certainly he was specifically sought out and retained by the administration as a key figure in their efforts to pass the Affordable Care Act.
And the "go back and find every clip" business ain't gonna help his credibility, either:

. . . one doesn't have to try very hard to find clips which reveal the lack of transparency around the debate, most especially as it involves the role of the now controversial Jonathan Gruber. He wasn't even disclosing that he was raking in big bucks from the White House in many of those clips. Consequently, as he was a key source for both the legislation and a major source for the ensuing press coverage, there's no reason to believe anything in and around the Obamacare debate was truly transparent, as Obama tried to claim.

Kind of reminds one of the way he has thrown others under the bus.  Reverend Wright comes to mind.

The MEC is still acting as if he has the trust and good will of a large number of post-Americans on his side.  It's interesting indeed to see how this pathological narcissist deals with a mass souring of public estimation for the first time in his sorry life.

  1. He thinks he still has the support of a majority of adult citizens in this country because by far the largest turn out in this election was for nobody. I am not sure what they were doing, but by far most Americans did not vote on November 4, 2014, most noticeably those under 30. Either they were satisfied with the status quo, hopeless about the future or hate both parties. Can you think of any other reasons?

  2. They don't yet fully understand conservatism. I'm serious. It's a proven fact that when a candidate runs outspokenly on conservative principles - and doesn't pull an Akin - he or she wins. Look at the true rock stars in the Pub party - solid righties all.

  3. Indiana came in dead last in turnout. Kind of embarrassing, eh.
