A tyrant at war with the people he rules

Tonigh, the Most Equal Comrade is going to make plain what I have said for years:  He has not a patriotic bone in his body, he and his party are an enemy of the United States of America every bit as much as Iran or North Korea or ISIS or al-Qaeda, and his disregard for the Constitution becomes more pronounced by the day.

Joseph Curl at The Washington Times puts it thusly:

President Obama, fresh off a shellacking in the 2014 midterm elections — in which he made himself a centerpiece, much to the chagrin of embattled Democrats — is about to embark on a scorched-earth rampage that will change the face of America forever.
Although the Harvard graduate and former professor often speaks of “teachable moments,” the president saw nothing worth learning in the outcome of the Nov. 4 elections, when voters gave Republicans their largest majority in the House since World War II and drummed the Democrats out of control of the Senate.
More, he doesn’t care that poll after poll shows a growing disillusionment with his signature policy as president, Obamacare, which now holds a record low approval rating of 37 percent. And his plan to use executive authority to grant amnesty to millions of illegal aliens rates just about the same — just 38 percent of Americans approve.
But Mr. Obama couldn’t care less. He doesn’t care that he has said at least 22 times in the past that he couldn’t simply create his own immigration law or ignore the statues already on the books. “Congress’s job is to pass legislation. The president can veto it or he can sign it. … I believe in the Constitution and I will obey the Constitution of the United States,” he said in 2008.
He even intends to make a show of circling the wagons with top Congressional Freedom-Haters - and injecting a does of identity politics into the proceedings:

President Obama has invited senior lawmakers to the White House for dinner Wednesday night so that he can explain his plans to use executive authority to change the nation’s immigration laws, according to several congressional aides.
Obama has invited Senate Majority Leader Harry M. Reid (D-Nev.), House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and the leaders of the congressional Asian, Black and Hispanic caucuses, said the aides, who were not authorized to speak publicly about the plans.
Obama did not invite GOP leaders to  the meeting, according to aides.

And something else I have said for years - that our nation is being ripped apart by civil war, so far played out by lawful, political means, but never far from boiling over into something more raw -  is also being confirmed by events and by minds greater than mine:

Oklahoma Sen. Tom Coburn warns there could be not only a political firestorm but acts of civil disobedience and even violence in reaction to President Obama's executive order on immigration Thursday.
"The country's going to go nuts, because they're going to see it as a move outside the authority of the president, and it's going to be a very serious situation," Coburn said on Capital Download. "You're going to see — hopefully not — but you could see instances of anarchy. ... You could see violence."

Have you considered how strained our social fabric will be if a no-indictment decision is handed down by the Ferguson grand jury on the heels of this outlaw move on immigration?

Post-America is not in good health.
