In a post-American world, there's no one to stop something like this

This is the second post about Russian aggression today.  And I do mean aggression:

Russia has deployed 200 tanks, 1,600 vehicles, 640 artillery units, 191 aircraft and 121 combat helicopters on the border with Ukraine.
Ukraine's envoy to the UN Yuriy Serheyev said this at an urgent meeting of the UN Security Council, ukr.media reported.
Instead of complying with the Minsk agreements, militants, supported by Russian regular troops, continued to shell Ukrainian military and civilian targets. Since the beginning of the ceasefire (September 5) militants have violated the ceasefire over 2,700 times.
"As many as 131 Ukrainian servicemen were killed, over 500 were wounded, and 65 civilians were killed," Serheyev said.
He also pointed to Russia's attempt to create a land corridor to the occupied Crimea and concentrate Russian troops on Ukrainian territory.
That's some hardware.

  1. I'm a believer now that Putin needs to be put in his place and Pronto! This combined with his current schmoozing in China and his military posturing in our Gulf is just too much to take. Time to call his bluff because neither his economy nor his hardware can begin to back this show up and he knows it. I would like to see squirrels chewing on his bare nipples, preferably alive.

  2. Glad I'm not currently fewer than 10 miles as the porpoise sails across the Gulf now fr McDill as I was a mere 12 days ago. This Gulf, OUR Gulf incursion is obviously an outrageous taunt. Do we match taunt for taunt or do we just chuckle it off as the gestures of an impotent bully who we could flatten like a little bug if we wanted to? Did Ronnie leave instructions with the fall of the wall?

  3. A world with an actual US president would look so, so different.
