The Most Equal Comrade: still living in his senior-seminar alternate reality

In his address in Estonia, no sooner had he mentioned in passing the need to "degrade and destroy" the Islamic State (which he continues to call ISIL, as if it were confined to a small geographical area) than he said this:

"We know that if we are joined by the international community, we can continue to shrink ISILl's sphere of influence, its effectiveness, its financing, its military capabilities to the point  where it is a manageable problem," said Obama.
Now, that's not a very long sentence, so consider how many faux-wonky phrases he packs into it:  "international community" . . . "continue to shrink ISIL's sphere of influence" . . . "manageable problem."

Damn it, the  Saudi king says there's a two-month window before they're in the US.  Hell, former CIA operative Bob Baer says they're already here:

The terrorist group has gained strongholds in eastern Syria and northeastern Iraq, and, according to a former CIA operative, ISIS cells have already infiltrated the U.S.
"The people who collect tactical intelligence on the ground, day-to-day – and this isn't Washington – but people collecting this stuff say they're here, ISIS is here, they're capable of striking," said CNN national security analyst and former CIA operative Bob Baer.
The boy king of post-America takes his cluelessness show on the road, and the peril level keeps going up, and up, and up.

  2. Maybe, but you are freaked because your ilk got voted out of power and many folks are a till ok with that. Well we shall see, won't we?

  3. Well, yes, "my ilk" got voted out, didn't they? Serious, thoughtful grownups who understood the dynamics of world affairs and the fact that the United States faces existential threats. And what replaced them? Well, what you wee now. Mr. Shrink-and-Manage. Secretary Global-Test. Secretary What-Difference-Does-It-Make. Clowns like Brennan, Clapper and Susan Rice.

And, yes, many people are okay with that. That is largely due to the rot in our culture and educational system which has left them uninterested in their own freedom.

  4. Uninterested in endless wars. Stop it, we want to get off. Stupid, I know, real dumb, right?
