And now comes the conclusive proof:
In the dissonance of the present moment, it can become easy to forget what a monster Barack Obama is.It's incredible that the President is actually fighting this.See this Ed Driscoll post for a quote about Obama's thinking that explains this: in a nutshell, Obama considers the American public to be the maniacs and terrorists, who must not be riled, for fear of the horrors they're disposed to committing.[H]is advisers are fighting a constant rearguard action to keep Obama from placing terrorism in what he considers its "proper" perspective, out of concern that he will seem insensitive to the fears of the American people. That is, his advisers have to fight with Obama to express even the faintest amount of anger about terrorism against Americans and butchery of Christians, because Obama's determination is to tell people to chillax, or, better yet, ignore it entirely.I'm no fan of Paul Ryan's, but I did think his dismissal of Obama at the State of the Union as a "dogmatic ideologue" hit the mark. I'd add the word "genuinely evil" into the formulation.
We must not fall prey to that. What he has done to America is front and center in the array of considerations before us in this campaign season.
