Why don't they make it a big deal to fight for freedom? We always do here, with often disastrous results. Er, that's fighting for other countries' freedoms, which we bite on here. Ask those wusssies who come down with Post Traumatic Stress (is it a syndrome or a disorder?) I had a gung ho Gulf War veteran notice when I called it PTS. He said it's neither a disorder nor a syndrome, but a natural reaction to horror and fear. I know , give you a prexy with balls like Reagan. He got 'er done, didn't he? He sold weapons to one of them ME countries to fight a secret war vs. some Central Americans. Who won? Well, judging by their Commie dog leader who's been in power since 1979, I don't think we did. Who won Korea? Nam? Hope springs eternal in some, others might try a different tack.
Your attempts to deflect from the subject at hand in order to make points about your pet irritants, such as Ronald Reagan, are increasingly transparent and less and less interesting. The non-jihadist anti-Assad Syrian fighters were supposed to be the West's main instrument for defeating ISIS. You know, more their war than ours at least at this point. But it's not happening. Further substantiation for senior Gulf state officials' claims that the West - ostensibly led by post-America - has no strategy for this - something that, in fact, the MEC stated plainly as recently as last month.
You and your hawkies are gonna have a tough sell; in fact, you aren't going to gain any power through the ballot box with tough talk of more bellicose bull crap in the Middle East. We sure ain't copying strategies from the past in the ME. Same shit, different day, despite what you say. I know you are full of optimism for more fireworks. Nearly 7 years of your incessant belly aching is wearing on me too bro.
How am I deflecting from the subject at hand? You want more of this advisory and training role again, right? Well, let's see their men and womenfolk rush to join their army and submit to our training. Been there done that at least since 'Nam too. Oh, I guess PTS is a deflection to you. This is our PTS over their fucking fight! Absolutely idiotic!
About that you could not be more wrong. Defeating ISIS is everybody's fight. Have you seen a map lately showing how many countries it is in now? How about the videos vowing to fly their flag over the White House? They have beheaded three US citizens so far. The damn Most Equal Comrade went golfing.
And it's not "bellyaching." It's sounding the alarm regarding the destruction of Western civilization from within and without.
Have you really thought about your core foreign-policy orientation? Because of the existence of PTSD, Western civilization can not prevent its own destruction.
Typical fear mongering. We hear it from your ilk all the time. Nothing's changed since the alarum sounded over Nam which is all I am really qualified to talk about since I lived it. I would prefer we engage all these cyber crooks that want to fuck with us. So funny that we cant drop a bunch of napalm on the bums (but of course fuck up a generation of vets exposed who are dying young in droves now. If those bums over there do not want to fight their own fight then fuck 'em. You really think ISIS can spread all that far by fear and terror like that? Be my guest though if you can rouse the American public to enlist in droves to work your supposed strategy of fighting fire with fire.
PTSD is just one ramification. Of course it's doubtful the dead were all that thrilled about it. We have enough closed head injuries alone to populate Indy. Some freedom, but it's not ours.
I have no core foreign policy orientation. I don't get my jollies on blood and guts though and have met few who've spilled theirs in foreign military forays who do. Probably hanging with the wrong people. But, really, they often just cross my path and I just listen. If I have a core orientation, it has to be peace on earth, good will to men. It'll swing back to kill kill kill for you, I'm sure, it always does.

ISIS (which has between 20,000 and 30,000 fighters) wasted no time mocking post-America on Twitter.
