Stop them now

The strategic reason we should do whatever is necessary to defeat ISIS yet this week is that we don't want to see our fellow American men beheaded and our fellow American women sold into unthinkably brutal sexual slavery, or stoned for a charge of adultery.

The moral reason is that that is happening in the ISIS caliphate as you read this.

This is the ISIS notion of a good father:

A deeply disturbing video has emerged which appears to show a woman being brutally stoned to death in Syria by the Islamic State with the help and support of her father, who threw rocks at the girl for having committed adultery. 

The video uploaded to TheBlazeshow the man’s daughter mercifully pleading for her father’s forgiveness before she is ultimately killed by the barbaric stoning. Despite her begging for her life, language translation provided by the Middle East Research Institute proved the stoning was carried out more for principle than for the woman’s alleged moral infraction.

Yazidi women who have been captured by ISIS are being used as “sex slaves,” but a more appropriate description of what’s being done to them is brutal inhuman torture.

The torture is so horrific that some women are killing themselves rather than wait for rescue, and one woman even called a friend embedded with the Peshmerga to ask that their brothel be bombed.

A Kurdish activist and friend of the man who received the call tells BBC News that the woman begged:

If you know where we are, please bomb us. There is no life after this. I’m going to kill myself anyway. Others have killed themselves this morning. I’ve been raped 30 times and it’s not even lunch time. I can’t go to the toilet. Please bomb us.

The activist, Karam, related that the men “just burst out crying” after the call “because they felt so helpless.”

Whatever is necessary to put and end to this, we must do it.
