It's this kind of stuff - today's edition

Communist China is poised to lower the totalitarian hammer on heretofore self-ruled Hong Kong, and this is what the Very Stable Genius has to say about it:

President Trump: "The Hong Kong thing is a very tough situation, very tough. We'll what see what happens. But I'm sure it'll work out. I hope it works out for everybody, including China, by the way."
Now, there's some leadership and fealty to human liberty right there! Not! One person in the comment thread below said it was the kind of answer a student who hasn't read the assignment gives when called on in class.

And then there's his reaction to Chris Cuomo's reaction to getting harassed when he was out with his family. (We'll leave for another time discussion of Cuomo's own encouragement of such tactics, as well as the whole business about what "Fredo" means or doesn't to various people.)

Would Chris Cuomo be given a Red Flag for his recent rant? Filthy language and a total loss of control. He shouldn’t be allowed to have any weapon. He’s nuts!

Allahpundit at Hot Air sums up my reaction:

Torn between two theories to explain his latest tweet.
1. He’s a loudmouthed imbecile who fundamentally doesn’t understand why stuff like this will steel opposition on the right to the sort of red-flag bill he’s endorsed.

2. He’s playing eight-dimensional chess, deliberately sabotaging the push for a new red-flag bill to please his base by showing immediately how it would be abused by the government once it’s law.
Guess which theory I’m leaning towards.
It could have been so different, if the Republican Party wasn't such a lame-ass organization. On May 3, 2016, in Indianapolis, one of the great tragedies of American politics occurred.

  1. How bout the tweet essentially implicating the Clintons in Epstein's death? Crass, vulgar and very unpresidential. Cruz got creamed with wikex lies too. Trump is fake news more than the media.

  2. But your former party apparently hasn't the balls to confront him with the truth, for fear of alienating him from his championship wrestling base who adore his baselessness. They need a king to crown.
