The first thing to say is that you won't see any conspiracy theory peddling here at LITD. The circumstances do indeed look fishy, and Attorney General Barr seems highly motivated dated to get to the bottom of that. No speculation until some facts are known.
There's also the matter of just who we'll be surprised by as names of associates come to light.
Then there is the reflecting that we all need to do regarding how a guy like him can amass the power and resources to set up this kind of sordid operation. He was not an unknown quantity. His friends were among the world's most well-connected people. But something I still don't understand - maybe it will come to light as the women involved tell their stories - is, where were these girls' parents?
Biggest takeaway: This kind of thing doesn't happen when people are seeking to do God's will.
