Clowns like this are ostensibly responsible for your safety

This guy is the damn director of the CIA.  And he is on record as offering this assessment:

You might recall this speech in Arabic given by John Brennan and you just have to ask, huh? Is this the fella we truly wanted as counter-terrorism advisor and now as CIA Director? Talk about JV. Now, if this were the private sector and someone on the senior staff had delivered a false forecast which resulted in horrible returns for the company — hmm, would the Board of Directors vote on firing said individual? Or perhaps the CEO would kindly request a resignation?

But in government, the person gets a promotion and is running our chief foreign intelligence agency, the CIA. Not only do we have an Islamic caliphate spanning Syria and Iraq, there’s also one declared in eastern Libya. So what part of “absurd” does John Brennan not get? You see, I think the American people, as the Board of Directors, should demand the firing of Brennan — because the CEO, Barack Obama, certainly won’t.

Here’s what Brennan had to say in 2011:

“Our strategy is … shaped by a deeper understanding of al-Qaida’s goals, strategy and tactics. I’m not talking about al-Qaida’s grandiose vision of global domination through a violent Islamic caliphate. That vision is absurd, and we are not going to organize our counterterrorism policies against a feckless delusion that is never going to happen. We are not going to elevate these thugs and their murderous aspirations into something larger than they are.”

“A feckless delusion?” As I read this statement and watched his speech I came to realize that Brennan, and indeed the Obama administration, live in a fantasy world, not the real one.

We may well all get murdered in our beds because of the utter cluelessness of these people.
