There seems to be a theme to the stuff I'm running across in my Web-scouring this morning. Just came across this Cathy Young piece on why Gloria Steinem, who recently received the Presidential Medal of Freedom, represents the worst of modern feminism.
Read the whole thing - Young does her best to be gracious and acknowledge a basically high intelligence level in Steinem - but, to condense her point, her enumerated reasons for so deeming Steinem are dogmatic denial of sex differences, fixation on male villainy, junk scholarship, misinformation, the vicitmhood cult, contempt for freedom of speech, and knee-jerk partisanship.
