Congress is being asked to sign off on an ineffectual pinprick

An early 2012 Defense Department report prepared at the request of the National Security Advisor's staff says that 75,000 troops on the ground would be required to secure Syria's entire stockpile of chemical weapons.  So that has been established for over a year.

And yet Secretary Global Test told the Senate Foreign Relations Committee that there would be no boots on the ground in Syria.  And Martin Dempsey tells the House Foreign Relations Committtee that he can't say exactly what our mission would be in Syria.

This is pathetic and scary.
