The point being that Da Man was a straw man constructed by the left to get people to buy into the victim mentality. This story points out the hollowness of the "we're not corporate, we're indie!" stance, as if it's some kind of badge that confirms one's integrity.
Memo to indie rockers: Get over it. You're in business to make a profit, just like Sony Entertainment, BMG Universal and Warner Music Group.
