Memo to what's left of the rock world: You are the system now

Take a moment to consider the exquisite irony of a government-funded trade mission to Brazil and Japan - for the heads of indie rock labels.

  1. I thought you told me Da Man don't exist.

  2. The point being that Da Man was a straw man constructed by the left to get people to buy into the victim mentality. This story points out the hollowness of the "we're not corporate, we're indie!" stance, as if it's some kind of badge that confirms one's integrity.

Memo to indie rockers: Get over it. You're in business to make a profit, just like Sony Entertainment, BMG Universal and Warner Music Group.
