Memo to the Most Equal Comrade: Maybe you should think twice the next time you're inclined to shoot off your mouth and act like you cherish freedom and have the resolve to defend it

Even the regime's official state organ, the NYT, says that the MEC has put himself in a bind now that it's pretty clear that the Assad regime used sarin gas.

Only problem: he's made our country even more vulnerable as a result.

  1. I agree but what about the Syrian situation has to do with "cherishing" freedom? Looks like a rock and a hard place to me. Both "sides" in that conflict want your beloved Israel wasted.

  2. The use of chemical weapons demonstrates a willingness to wage war on an utterly barbaric level, which may eventually pan out to a willingness to do something unspeakable to actual Western nations, such as the US.

Yeah, I just saw where both the regime and the opposition are condemning Israel for taking out that weaponry made by Iran and destined for Hezbollah. Once again, Israel will have no friend no matter which Arabs prevail in this conflict. If this were still the United States of America, we'd have its back, but it's a different world now, I guess.

  3. The Obama administration recognizes that the rebels and their supporters have an incentive to assume or even exaggerate the use of such weapons because it may be the one thing that could draw in direct Western military intervention against Mr. Assad. The rebels have access to information online about the effects of the weapons, so they may know what symptoms to describe to make their claims seem real.

  4. Yet in turning the matter into an international “CSI” case, Mr. Obama may have set a standard of evidence that could never be met.

  5. We may have to accept that he said something stupid (against the advices of his aids and the teleprompter) and, well, impeach this idiot former(?) choomer on other grounds which are developing on other fronts.

"President Obama has been reluctant to use military force to contain the Syrian crisis, but the pressure is mounting for him to intervene. “All the options are horrible,” a former aide said."
