Because it's based on normal-people economic principles

400 independent economists have endorsed Romney's plan for turning the economy around - including three Nobel laureates.

  1. Pretty impressive aside from the fact that you have repeatedly expressed disdain for the Nobel Prize here and of course hindsight is more acute. ROMNEYCARE is not that different from Obamacare and Paul Ryan voted for both TARP &
The GM bail-out. Is it true he wants to reintroduce Glass-Steagall? The visibility of Dick Cheney again these days tells me we are merely contemplating a return to more of the same that bit us 8 years ago, especially the misguided preemptivity that cost us so much in terms of both revenue and world prestige which had been so overwhelmingly in our favor following 9/11. Oh sure, Mitt's gonnav kick some butt over those messing with that socialistic nation in the sand you so revere. Can't wait!

  2. As I've stated many times previously, we'll be breathing down Mitt's neck every microsecond. Since he's on record as saying he'd 86 FHer-care right off the bat, I don't think that the fact that it's similar to Romneycare is any kind of signal as to what the new Administration and Congress will explore as a viable way to address health care.

  3. Never saw a man panting so passionately to be President. Many are on board with my feeling that Romney is a phony, willing to say or do anything to get elected. BTW, Obama was a lot like that 4 years ago.

  4. As you know, Mitt was far from my first choice. I gave money to the Santorum campaign three times. You can search the LITD archives and find lots of posts pleading with Republicans to consider his many weaknesses. However he behaves - presently or if he is president for the next four years - it says nothing about the principles we champion. Unless he does the right thing, in which case, it will obviously work.

  5. Oh I do not dispute that you were never for Mitt, but now you apparently are, but in most regards he is really not that different from Obama, although he sure acts like he is now. Of course there is the socialism of his Mormonism which I don't think is a bad thing at all, but you may. Mitt really isn't departing from the official US line on Israel either, but your Netanyahu seems to like him a lot more. I know that is important to you. What is important to me is that the world not blow. I like to call it an extremely delicate situation, but I don't think you agree. Bombs away!!!
