Two scientists have written an article for the peer-reviewed American Journal of Agricultural Economics, in which they say that fudging the facts about global climate is laudable. They "find that the information manipulation has an instrumental value, as it ex post induces more countries to participate in an IEA[international environmental agreement], which will eventually enhance global welfare."
