If you build an ER - and subsidize visits to it with Medicaid - they will come

Good Guy Benson piece at Townhall on how conservatives should proceed now that we're in I-told-you-so territory with regard to Freedom-Hater-care.

Benson refers to his FNC appearance last night in which he was challenged with a "what-about-Romneycare-in-Massachussetts" argument.  He says, quite rightly, that it is important to consider this:

Romneycare was sold as an antidote to uncompensated care and costly emergency room visits -- which increased following the law's passage. Romneycare has also brought about longer wait times for care, as well as the highest health costs in America. Obamacare expands Romneycare on a national scale, adding a boatload of new taxes and a rationing board into the mix for good measure.

It's not about what some given citizen is receiving in the way of government help - although that is a good way to show that it is really the Freedom-Haters - at least the masses-level supporters of FHer policy - who embrace the I've-got-mine-you-get-yours outlook.
