Such a civil war of words, each "side" in this country continuallly ripping obn what the other says and writes. As lonbg as we have intellectual freedom here to think, write and say our piece I'm not that fearful that it is as late in the day as you say, although you are certainly free to say so. Accusing those not in agreemenbt with your thinking as you continually do here of willfully hastening the decline of Western Civilization is, well, well, bull shit at best. Go forth in freedom if not peace.
But you see, we don't have much intellectual freedom anymore. That's why the "mainstream media" avoids the phrase "Islamic terrorism" like it was some nasty medieval disease, when it is exactly what we are facing.
Or how about - oh, jeez, the examples are endless: Boy Scouts and gays, nativity scenes at courthouses, accurate statistics about average global temperatures, students asserting what 1980s US foreign policy was really all about in their university classrooms, US flag flying at California high schools?
If we had real intellectual freedom, the general public would understand what the array of threats actually consists of.
Still, there is plenty of intellectual freedom, ravers on the right on AM talk radio, ravers on the left who don't have to rave as loudly with their leader currently in power the way he is, although they certainly do over the gay marriage issue, and, I suppose, the marijuana legalization issue and, as always, the war and peace issues, some of which, as you know I agree with. Both sides are covered on the internet, even in the press, come on, what are National Review and The American Spectator, Gateway Pundit, etc., not mainstream media, but they are out there for anyone to read. They can be liked on facebook and, while they may not post as often as huffingtonpost they co post several times daily and you know they do. It gets confusing, but it is all out there to be investigated by the serious citizen of the globe. I wouldnt muffle either side. Would you?
Tell us again (I know you will, over and over and over again) what the answer is and how your detested FHers refuse to squarely face it? Well, aside from not being square (in their own inflated opinion of themselves), why would huffington post this this morning? You are blowing smoke if you think that the other enemy is not in the know bloggie. They even refer to him as a radical Islamist. I know, I know, they forgot to add the word terrorist, their bad, OMG!!!

Interesting take here that may calm the fears of some. I am gratified that the bloggie has already stated that he does not think another shocking and awful invasion of a sovereign nation is called for at this time. As for Foreign Policy Magazine, what do you think of it? I researched its co-founder Samuel P. Huntington, 1927-2008. He graduated with distinction from Yale University at age 18, served in the U.S. Army, earned his Master's degree from the University of Chicago, and completed his Ph.D. at Harvard University where he began teaching at age 23.
Sounds like he might be a freedom hater. Anyhow, this article published in a magazine he co-founded will not necessarily completely adhere to his editorial philosophy since he has been in heaven (or hell, depending on whether he was a freedom hater or not)for half a decade
Today's terrorists aren't "sophisticated." They're stupider than ever. In recent years, terrorists targeting the American homeland have been neither sophisticated nor masterminds, but incompetent fools.
