Sunday roundup

That North Korean test-firing of a missile from a submarine is giving NorKor's neighbors, as well as the UN Security Council the jitters. Next step will be a miniaturized nuclear warhead.

Joe Biden's speech in Turkey was a mess. He dissed the Kurds and said the US had been "insensitive" during the recent coup attempt.

This one's a challenge: How to write about Colin Kaepernick without using foul language. Let's just say he has dog vomit where decent people have souls:

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick refused to stand for the national anthem during his team’s preseason game against the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, citing the “oppression” of black people in America.
After a photo of Kaepernick sitting out the national anthem started spreading on the internet, NFL.com’s Steve Wyche asked the quarterback for an explanation — and he got one.
“I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color,” he reportedly said. “To me, this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder.”
Kaepernick said he’s not “looking for approval” and only wanted to “stand up for people that are oppressed.”
Jeremy Carl of the Hoover Institution takes on the "weapons-grade stupidity" of a recent NPR story entitled "Should We Be Having Kids In An Age of Climate Change?"

Ann Coulter is having to jettison a lot of standards - for taste and character - she's on record as having in order to continue carrying Squirrel-Hair's water.
