Of identity politics and campaign coffers

Hillionaire's attempt to burnish her feminist bona fides crashed and burned:

Hillary Clinton’s “women only” fundraiser shifted its invitation list at the last minute to include anyone who would buy a ticket after sales for the $2,700/person event dwindled, a new report alleges.
The New York fundraiser, hosted by Eliot Spitzer’s ex-wife, was originally designed to be open only to women, who would get a two-hour chat with Clinton herself. (RELATED: Cheatee Party! Spitzer’s Ex Throws Ladies Only Fundraiser For Hillary)
Page Six reports, however, that “during the 11th hour” the event was made open to everyone because “it failed to attract high-powered women.” The goal was 125 tickets sold, but after only 50 people coughed up enough to attend the event, deadlines were pushed back and men were invited.
She may want to rethink the exclusivity thing given her cratering poll numbers.
