ISIS nearer than ever to taking a big, big prize

They've been telling us they'd take Baghdad one of these days.  May happen sooner than later:

Three militants disguised in military uniform killed at least eight people in a local government office in Amiriyat al-Falluja in western Iraq on Tuesday, in an attack claimed by Islamic State.
One of the attackers blew himself up inside the building, and the other two were shot dead before managing to detonate their explosive vests, according to deputy district council chairman Falih al-Issawi.
A further 17 people were wounded in the attack, including the head of the council, Shakir al-Issawi, who leapt from the window of his office after the explosion, a police source said.
In a statement, Islamic State said the three attackers had killed "dozens of apostates".
Located on the western fringe of Baghdad, Amiriyat al-Falluja is one of the few remaining pockets of territory under government control in Anbar province, most of which is held by Islamic State.
And still, the Most Equal Comrade, with no sense of urgency at all, tells the G7 summit that post-America still doesn't have a strategy for dealing with this.

  1. Dontcha think it's doubtful we will elect a hawk of your ilk in '16? China still waits, while we spend down our treasury fighting others' battles. We owe them a lot. Not fealty. Just money. Many voters see. Some seethe.

  3. So we're just gonna shape things there to suit us? Maybe you think so, but I am not in your camp. Vote war then. We'll see how far your hawks get fairly soon. Should be interesting debate watching, but not sure viewing records will be set. Nobody believes shit these days. Too much water over the dam. I know you think we are anything but grown-ups and possibly damned.
