Um, are we not to assume that the Muslim students are sharp enough to know the nature of the institution they attend?Crosses in every room at Washingon D.C.’s Catholic University of America are a human rights violation that prevent Muslim students from praying. That’s the complaint to the Washington, D.C. Office of Human Rights filed by a professor from rival George Washington University across town.GWU Law School Professor John Banzhaf takes the Catholic institution to task for acting “probably with malice” against Muslim students in a 60-page complaint that cites “offensive” Catholic imagery all over the Catholic school, which he says hinder Muslims from praying.Baffled Catholic University officials say they have never received a complaint from any of the schools Muslim students.
Boston University sociology professor Saida Grundy pretty much makes it clear that a certain demographic would find it hard to get graded fairly in her classes. Under her Twitter handle "Lord Commander," she lets loose with these ripe views:
"Lord Commander" . . . tweeted in March:“White masculinity isn’t a problem for america’s colleges, white masculinity is THE problem for america’s colleges.”Back in January, she said:Every MLK week I commit myself to not spending a dime in white-owned businesses. and every year i find it nearly impossible.”And this too:Deal with your white sh*t, white people. slavery is a *YALL* thing
And I guess students at Rutgers thought the Scarlet Knight was lonely and needed some "friends":
Members of Rutgers’ Student Association (SA) recently passed a bill to create black, Latino, Asian, and third-gender mascot friends to accompany the school’s original “Scarlet Knight” mascot adopted in 1955.
According to the Daily Targum, the bill came to fruition after first-year student Emmet Brennan noticed the mascot’s fair skin and blue eyes while working as a press box server during the university’s football games.Knighty, you might want to tell them not to sweat it, that you're a fictional character.“This does not seem right,” Brennan, who also serves as an SA parliamentarian, told the Daily Targum, adding that “our mascot does not represent how diverse we are as a school.”After taking issue with the mascot’s complexion, Brennan began collaborating with student Mohamed Asker who currently serves as the SA’s student affairs chair. Asker is also a member of the Arab Cultural Club and assisted Brennan in drafting the bill.
It never ends.
