Just when you'd started indulging a hope against hope that this outfit was not such a front-burner threat anymore . . .

 . . . ISIS gives us a double whammy of horror.

Blows a Syrian hospital to smithereens with a massive truck bomb, and

in the Tal Afar region of Iraq, lines up 600 Yazidis and shoots them at the rim of a ditch.

    To do what? Are you sure that's the most effective way to address the present situation. By "ver there" do you mean directly into the ISIS caliphate? Or intensified aerial bombing? Or behind-the-scenes support for regional allies?

    Specify. Or were you perhaps being snarky?
