The way I read that is that, just like an ambitious aspiring future job seeker in college would investtheir tuition $$$ in "hot" fields so the government, with what money and mandate they still have to do this is choosing to do the same. Or would you have them invest in printing presses? Of course I have already been damned many times as one of your so-called FH'ers here, so I really don't know why i bother to blog here at this moribund blog where nobody comments.
Seems to be working pretty well for, say, China, at this juncture. Why didn't Ronnie just abolish the Federal Reserve? Our tax dollars are for whatever the people say they are for.
China is communist and corrupt. Not exactly a country we should emulate. I don't know why Ronnie didn't abolish the Federal Reserve. I'm unclear as to how that question relates to Hilda Solis saying that the federal government will be deeming certain industries as worthy of government subsidization. And I know for a fact you don't really believe that our tax dollars are for whatever people says they are. You are on record as vehemently opposing a number of things your tax dollars have gone for. And I certainly will not stand for my tax dollars being used to help some particular business entity thrive. This notion that the public sector can "invest" in various things must be stopped, and right now.

ReplyDeleteGovernment has no business getting involved in economic activity. None. That's not what our tax dollars are for.
