Well, since everybody in this cycle's slate of candidates is to at least a fair degree a free-market proponent, and since it's looking likely that the Pubs will take he Seante as well as retaining the House, the economy will improve so rapidly it won't be an issue.
In other words, the Pubs will begin from hour one undertaking the things LITD and all rightie outlets call for: repeal of FH-er-care, means-testing and private accounts for under-40 future recipients of the big-three entitlements, tax code reform, abolishing of the EPA, the Department of Energy and the Dept of Education and the NLRB, and a thorough housecleaning at the Justice Department.
How rapidly do you see it improving? I will hold you to it.
And it is not just the repeal of The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act your camp has derisively termed Obamacare which you chant over and over and over in a generally successful effort to insert that meme into the consciousness of the voting populace. It is the repeal and replacement. We'll have to see what you come up with, because health care reform is still urgently needed in this country. I suppose you will try to say it is not government's role to concern itself with the health care of Americans.
Also, we see how successful your so-called private accounts for future recipients of OASI and Medicare are, meaning our IRAs, 401Ks and the casting aside and gouging of aging risks by the private insurance market which of course is concerned about making money, not paying claims.
Wondering how long the economy will be Obama's fault if Pubs regain the White House in '12? I am guessing for as long as it remains recessed.
