The jackboots shut down the UK's first Chick-fil-A

They will not be satisfied until they's as successful at eradicating Christianity as North Korea and Saudi Arabia have been:

Little more than a week after Chick-fil-A’s first grand opening in the UK, it’s been announced the Eat Mor Chikin chain will be closing up shop.
And it’s really out of the restaurant’s hands — the shopping center holding its lease is refusing to extend it.
And why? Gay activism.
As reported by the BBC:
“Gay rights campaigners called for a boycott of Chick-fil-A, which opened its first branch at The Oracle shopping centre in Reading on 10 October.”
A spokesperson for The Oracle said it was “the right thing to do” in response:
“We always look to introduce new concepts for our customers, however, we have decided on this occasion that the right thing to do is to only allow Chick-Fil-A to trade with us for the initial six-month pilot period, and not to extend the lease any further.”
Reading Pride — an LGBT group from the local (Reading) area — was tickled pink triangle.
These stormtroopers will not hear of any discussion of sin or the Godly design for human sexuality:

The organization cited CFA’s donation to three groups which, as statedby the BBC, “have a reputation of being hostile to LGBT rights”: Fellowship of Christian Athletes, the Paul Anderson Youth Home, and the Salvation Army.

They now have a case study on which to build a model for the further silencing of Christians.

They're one step farther along in seeing that the idea that to follow Jesus is bigotry pervades every corner of our culture.

Time to put on the full armor of God.

  3. I blame militant Christianity as much as anything else. I presume Britain has some version of the Moral Majority, but, regardless I'm sure its influence has spread worldwide. The church is for sinners who know that they are sinners. Otherwise it is a religion of attraction, not promotion. As the song says, "they will know we are Christian by our love." That's it. If course be there for the sinners should they seek you out.

  4. Let's narrow the scope here to the topic of this post. Is there something "militant" about Chick-fil-A?

  5. Chick-fil-A is just a target. But why their owner has to wear his Christianity on his sleeve and even comment on gays is what I question. You must admit gays have indeed taken a lot of crap from society in the past. And wouldn't you say Christians have often led the charge? I like my Chikin without any religious dressing.Do you have any idea how many people roll their eyeballs and get their guard up around those who volunteer to tell them how Christian they are? I know it is a big unofficial red flag for insurance adjusters signalling trouble ahead.

  6. It's called professing one's faith. Witnessing. Going forth and making disciples of all nations. And it's especially important in these wicked, rotten times when certain elements demand that their sins be mainstreamed. And it's especially important for corporations driven by Christian values to be forthright about that, given that so many corporations are making a headlong rush to the left.

Your phrase "just a target" is telling. A target of whom? I think we know. And they, not the Christians, are the militant ones.

Chick-fil-A hires homosexuals all the time and serves them even more often, but the fact that the company states its fealty to sound doctrine is unacceptable to the LBGT activists.

I sin on a regular basis, but I don't try to ruin the business of companies who might point out what those sins are. I confess them to the Lord.

  7. OK, witnessing. That is also what people do, especially to those who wear their religion on their sleeve. Witnessing how the act and live. All too often our heads start shaking like whaat? I spose it's all been laid on the line. They will know we are Christians by our love. Not much glory in that, but maybe a peaceful easy feeling can pervade more often than not. I've actually lost track of why the gay activists hate Chick Filet. It doesn't appear to hurt their business wherever I go. It's all fast food to me. Love their $10.00 gal. fresh lemonaide.

  8. The gay activists also lay it on the line and those who love liberty should utilize all legal remedies in resisting them where it is thought indicated.
