Two fresh instances of the Washington Post having it in for conservatives

Brandon Morse at RedState:

Earlier this week, Kavanaugh was fortunate to return to coaching his daughter’s basketball team, which he feared he may never be able to do again due to the character killing media frenzy that washed over his family. WaPo reported that he had indeed returned and that should have been that. Alls well that ends well for a good guy.
But no. WaPo decided to publish the article in the “Public Safety” section, obviously indicating that Kavanaugh was a sexual risk to the girls he was coaching. The slap was subtle, but it was a childish slap nonetheless. No court in the world would convict Kavanaugh of being guilty of what he was accused of thanks to a complete lack of evidence and a stream of ridiculous stories told about him, one including him being involved in a high school rape ring that was so well hidden that no one spoke or heard of it.
But Kavanaugh is guilty according to them, and so that’s how they will treat him. Let me reiterate that they know for a fact that Kavanaugh is innocent of what he was accused of. What Kavanaugh is guilty of is being on the wrong side of the aisle and being successful. That’s good enough for WaPo to accuse him of being a likely committer of child-rape.
But it doesn’t stop there.
The Washington Post is also in the business of subtly accusing, but not outright accusing, Tucker Carlson of being a neo-Nazi. They have to avoid those lawsuits after all.
As my colleague Alex Parker reported, WaPo made the accusation that Carlson is a “neo-Nazi favorite” based on the fact that the Daily Stormer, a neo-Nazi website, mentioned Carlson in 265 articles. By comparison, fellow Fox News host Sean Hannity was only mentioned 26 times.
So clearly, according to WaPo, this means that Carlson is saying a lot of things that are Nazi-ish in nature and so while they’re not saying he’s a neo-Nazi, they’re saying he’s a neo-Nazi. Wink, wing, nudge, nudge. Not only is this is ridiculous logic, but it also sounds like something an angry high school girl would do to ruin that other girl’s life for stealing the guy she likes.
Of course, Carlson isn’t a neo-Nazi. He’s never said anything that would indicate he is. Again, however, Carlson is on the wrong side of the aisle and he’s successful. That makes him free-game for WaPo to label him the second coming of a national-socialist regime that actively targeted and eliminated millions of innocent people in some of the most horrid ways possible.
Meanwhile, WaPo is only too happy to host articles on their site written by actual anti-semites like Linda Sarsour.
The Washington Post is not well. As Jon Stewart pointed out, many in the mainstream media have had their narcissism pummeled by Trump and WaPo isn’t taking it well just like everyone else in their field. They’re angry, bitter, and vengeful. They’re okay with making wild claims or dealing out subtle, yet horrific insults.
Perhaps the folks at WaPo need to take a breath.

One way to look at the post-American populace is that there are two kinds of people comprising it: those who see this garbage for what it is, and those who swallow it hook line and sinker.

  2. Gee, the perp's life is back to normal while the survivor of his conduct cannot yet return to either home or career. How pre-post-America.

  3. What did he "perpetrate"? What kind of "conduct" are you talking about?

  4. Well, since (for the record) you brought it up...during the hearings at which he was accused of attempted sexual assault, he proceeded to perjure himself thoroughly and without question, when he assured the United States Senate and the citizens of America that he did not as a younger man get plowed more often than a rented field -- such perjury having been substantiated repeatedly, credibly, and with appropriate ridicule by numerous classmates and acquaintances. Add to that the rather numerous false representations made in previous confirmation hearings painstakingly enumerated by the Democratic members of the Judiciary committee, plus the over 90% of requested documents produced and paid for with taxpayer funds but which Kavanaugh and the White House refused to turn over to the Senate...and it starts to become clear that this beer-swilling, dick-exposing pseudologist is shady as hell. But, he says he didn't do nothin' and (sniff) it's all a Clinton Democratic plot and (whimper) just wait and see what happens, bitches (blubber).

Dr. Blasey Ford (and other women), well-educated, professional, credible, and painfully aware of the likely cost of doing the right thing...does the right thing...and continues to pay that cost. Real, authentic, and rare courage.

Kavanaugh isn't worth her spit. None of us are.

  5. How do you sleep at night perpetrating this vile shit about one of the most decent men to ever serve in the federal government's judicial branch? You're going to have to answer someday to your Creator for this insinuation that there was indeed a party where he assaulted Ford even though she can't put forth a date or location, and several people she lined up as witnesses say they have no recollection of such. Plus, the dick-exposing charge is a filthy rotten lie. He passed seven FBI investigations, the last of which happened at the last minute in his SCOTUS confirmation process.

You know in your heart of hearts that he's a man of impeccable character, but you have to put this shit out there in order to drag your pro-tyranny-and-perversion-anti-Constitution-anti-God-and-anti-basic-human-decency agenda over the finish line.

Again I ask, how do you sleep at night?

  6. Would you attempt a thought experiment with me? Could you, just for a moment, to accommodate this single inquiry, give the woman the benefit of the doubt. Say, for a moment, you are this woman and that the allegation is true.

You know all the crap about nobody is likely to recall it (she has advanced degrees in how memory works). It was decades ago and your own placement of date, place and possible corroborating circumstances would require the assistance of an unlikely federal investigation (you could not anticipate Kavanaugh himself providing the likely date, time and place through a calendar entry). If a drunken Kavanaugh and his pal (who has made a few bucks off the notoriety of his chronic inebriation in the relevant time frame) remember it at all they will almost certainly deny it and no doubt attack her character.

But he is about to be nominated to be an Associate Justice on the United States Supreme Court. Would it be your position, in those stipulated circumstances, that she should stay quiet, knowing what she knows?

This is a serious question...even if I only asked it once.
    :o)

  7. But your experiment presuppose an utter certainty on her part that the males involved were the ones she's naming, and there is nothing - absolutely nothing - to substantiate that. In fact, there is much substantiation for the main person in question not possibly being the one who violated her. Yes, that would be frustrating for her, but she'd eventually have to come to grips with the fact that whatever traumatic event she experienced involved different people and circumstances than she is remembering.
Look, she clearly had some disturbing experience as a young person. But you could not ask for a more exhaustive look into what it was than what went down earlier this year. And everything that came to light - of course, the legal inquiry into that situation itself, but also the obvious character of Brett Kavanaugh - what friends and co-workers from throughout his career have had to say, his views as a jurist as evidenced by his decisions and writings, the lifelong evidence of his genuine faith, and, yes, his involvement with youth sports, - points to an opposite conclusion.
I have nothing but compassion for Ms. Ford, but she's going to have to continue digging to re-encounter the actual facts of what happened to her.
