Not to be a wet blanket on anybody's splendid fall weekend, but isn't this rather noteworthy?

In recent days, we've seen the call for all Russians studying abroad to come back home, as well as the hair-raising bellicosity of Russian state television personalities and Putin's cancelled trip to France.

Now state TV is advising people to locate the nearest bunker, and the governor of St. Petersburg is talking to citizens about what bread rations to expect from the government.

UPDATE: The call to come home is not just for students at foreign universities:

Russia is ordering all of its officials to fly home any relatives living abroad amid heightened tensions over the prospect of global war, it has been claimed.
Politicians and high-ranking figures are said to have received a warning from president Vladimir Putin to bring their loved-ones home to the 'Motherland', according to local media.
Post-America's partner in reset is copping quite a 'tude right now.

  4. Is that anything like someone who understands that a market unfettered by government interference is essential to liberty, or that the United States must assure its allies it has their back - and its adversaries that it will not brook disruption of the world order, or that Jesus is Lord?
