Does everyone understand what this means?

An official of the post-American government goes on record saying that Russia is in operational control of Crimea.

Nobody's going to mistake me for a Mensa Society hall-of-famer, but wouldn't it be kind of in line with Global Test finally going to Kiev on Tuesday - you know, the whole by-golly-we're-still-the-strong-hyperpower thing - for us to employ some kind of leverage and insist that all this be decided by some kind of political process?  Is there any credible way to contribute to all this otherwise?

No, we are going to accept Putin's naked aggression as a given, and proceed from there.  Guess the mom-jeans shot of the Oval Office phone call didn't quite make the intended impression.

  3. They may be impotent but they are important. There are agreements to go in together in situations such as this, if we have to.
