It's guys like this . . .
. . . that embody the rot within the Republican party. We're all done listening to a message like, "You have to put up with Reasonable Gentleman Syndrome as your only alternative to radical socialism."
Who is the we that are all done with it? Methinks you simply don't have the numbers to make a difference. Of course you are true legends in your own minds. I have never heard so much carping, bitching, mewing and pewking in over half a century of observing and participating in public affairs and would almost give you the election to shut you crybabies up. Get real and get with America and enough already with your dire predictions of decay, decline, decadence and death, nay the death of America. I got grandkids to mentor...
Whatever happened to our love saving the world? This too shall pass. Have you tried enlightened pessimism? How was that Uses of Pessimism book? We can only control our own behavior. If you think about it, and I know you do, that is a lifetime(s?) work. Might even be one of the beginnings of wisdom to realize such.
But if you don't speak out about madness of a degree that will destroy the civilization that brought human advancement to its peak, that made possible a level of comfort, convenience, safety and dignified living our great-grandparents could not have imagined, you will know in your heart that you lived in an insufficient way.
