Soledad O'Brien, keeper of the identity-politics othodoxy

She upbraids the head of Twitter for a grievous infraction:

On Saturday, Twitter head Jack Dorsey tweeted out an endorsement of Chick-Fil-A after buying some sandwiches.
This, according to Soledad O’Brien, former CNN host, was a massive crime. How so? Well, it’s Gay Pride Month, and that means that everyone must celebrate homosexuality in every possible way – and Chick-Fil-A’s head, Dan Cathy, famously supports traditional marriage. Thus, according to O’Brien, no promotion of Chick-Fil-A is merited during this magical time of year:
This is an interesting company to boost during Pride month,
Wasting no time in puking all over himself to get his mind right, Dorsey responds:

You’re right. Completely forgot about their background
Now, here's where it gets rather rich:

There is only one problem, besides the obvious Orwellian ideological crackdown: O’Brien spoke at the 2012 Chick-Fil-A Leadercast, alongside Tim Tebow and John Maxwell, among others. Presumably, O’Brien was paid for this. But times have changed – and now everyone must bow before the Pride Altar, at the behest of High Priestess O’Brien, she of the vengeful wrath against a sandwich company that has evidenced zero discrimination against LGBT people.
Who bestowed the power to shame a social-media executive on her, anyway?

  1. I watched my first Pride parade in San Fran in 1981. Just ignore it, man.

  3. This is a prominent news personality and the CEO of a major social-media corporation having a Twitter exchange in which they concur that there is something wrong with a restaurant chain being run according to Christian principles.

  4. I know, it's all over AM talk radio, but I never heard of the guy, guess this is the beginning of being out of it as I age. Modern industrial chicken is bad for us anyhow. Is this Christian chicken without hormones they serve?

  5. Whatever. Jesus is Lord and Romans 1 and Leviticus 18 don’t require much interpretation.

  6. Careful throwing the book at someone. If Jesus had an overriding message it was that, oh ye with the beam in your eyes.
