How could the "mainstream" media get any more grotesque?

I haven't done a lot of posting lately on media bias. Others are on that case quite effectively. Plus, those in the Trumpian fever swamps obsess with it to the point that it takes on a boy-who-cried-wolf quality.

But this is beyond the pale.  CNN saying that Kim Yo Jong, Kim Jong Un's sister and part of North Korea's official delegation to the Olympics, is "stealing the show." The Washington Post calling her the North Korean Ivanka Trump and saying she's "captivat[ing] people in the south."

Stop it. Someday you're going to have to account for how you spent your hours in this realm to your almighty Creator. Don't heap anymore giddiness over evil on what you already are going to have to come clean about.

She is a key figure in North Korea's Department of Agitation and Propaganda. He knows exactly how savage the regime is. Don't let your nose for "glamour" and your need to have an object over which to gush override your basic humanity.

She is the international face of our mortal enemy. That she is at this event at all is nothing but a demonstration of how fallen this world is.

  1. It's probably a smoke screen but it looks and sounds a lot better than Korea, 1952. Too bad Ike wussed out, after campaigning for a surge. I never heard him brag about fire and fury. He said he would not favor a big national military parade either, like the Commies. My, how times have changed.

  2. I fail to see what the possibility of a US military parade, or what Eisenhower would have thought of it, has to do with the way CNN and the Washington Post covered Kim Yo Jong's attendance at the Olympics opening.
