You may not be aware of Iran's stockpile of long-range missiles, or its ongoing support for Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houthis.

Gee, how long have we been trying to stop the flow of opium from Afghanistan? Not that long really.

Stopping the flow of Afghan opium would be nice, but the point of this post is that Hammond is legitimizing Iran as a major power on the world stage when it's actual pariah status needs to be reinforced.
