Glad to see this great Senator's core principles kicking in

Breitbart has it on good authority that Marco Rubio not only would not vote for an immigration bill based on the current premise, but wants out of the Gang of Eight.

  1. At my age I am voting my pocketbook more than ever and this is one more reason to favor amnesty of sorts, perhaps to welcome even more more more!

"Immigrants are crucial in balancing the age structure of American society, providing an infusion of young, working-age adults who support the country’s aging population and help cover the costs of Medicare and Social Security. And with the largest generation in the United States, the baby boomers, now starting to retire, the financial help from immigrants has never been more needed, experts said."

  2. Attempting to ensure that Medicare and SS can be solvent is a woefully inadequate reason to bend the rule of law.

  3. Come on man, the law has been bent for over 3 decades, Reagan even bent it.

"I believe in the idea of amnesty for those who have put down roots and lived here, even though sometime back they may have entered illegally." --Ronald Reagan in a televised debate with Democratic presidential nominee Walter Mondale in 1984

  4. Don't forget, it was Dutch's heart full of concern that led him to sign off on sending money and stuff to Iran's mullahs. It was bugging him to no end that Itan's proxies in Lebanon were holding US citizens hostage.

In some ways, a very admirable trait, but only when tempered with a proper regard for all aspects of not only law but human nature.
