This passive-aggressive snowflake-ism on steroids is a particularly poisonous new tool of the Left

The first instance I'd like to cite is particularly dismaying in that it shows that post-America's rot has definitely advanced well into institutional Christianity. Students and alums of Taylor University, an evangelical school in Upland, Indiana, are going to ridiculous lengths to express their outrage at Vice President Mike Pence being invited to speak at this year's commencement. A 2014 alum says that many students "will no doubt feel unsafe at their own graduation." A 2015 alum said, :"I have never been made to feel so physically ill by an email before . . . I am physically shaking."

Oh, please. Get a grip, will you? And maybe refresh your acquaintance with Romans 1, 1 Corinthians 7 and Leviticus 20.

Then there's Sandy the architect's daughter from Westchester County claiming that Dan Crenshaw's retort to her buddy Ilhan Omar endangers Omar's life, a charge she's extended to President Trump in light of his tweet yesterday about it. Granted, the Very Stable Genius's way of chiming in was pretty boneheaded. John Sexton at Hot Air put it thusly:

Trump weighing in on this feels a little bit like shooting a fly with a bazooka.
Still, his entry into the scuffle undeniably juxtaposes the relevant facts of the situation.

The Left has definitely sharpened this particular weapon. The message is "you have to shut up. You're making people physically sick and putting their lives in danger."

This stuff never stays in one arena. It will filter down to your local school district and city hall if you don't proactively oppose it.

I am heartened to see that, as of this writing, the Taylor president is not backing down. Pence is still scheduled to speak.

A far more refreshing stance for a university leader than the way the prez at the University of Missouri - Kansas City has responded to the melee that broke out during  Michael Knowles' a-man-is-not-a-woman speech:

Chancellor C. Mauli Agrawal’s letter is mindnumbing.
He begins by acknowledging a conflict:
“Last night, our campus witnessed a collision of two principles that we steadfastly support: the right to free expression and the right to civil protest in response to views we disagree with.”
Okay…
He then says education is key:
The evening’s events laid bare deep divisions that exist in our society today — divisions that UMKC works diligently to address through education, support and commitment to our values.
So how “diligent” is he? This much:
A student group brought a speaker to campus – a speaker whose professed opinions do not align with our commitment to diversity and inclusion and our goal of providing a welcoming environment to all people, particularly to our LGBT community.
UMKC is a public university; who determines its values? The student body? The taxpayers who support it? Or are they exclusively based on Agrawal’s personal politics?
Those who still embrace common sense, who value decency and dignity, who love God and freedom are definitely on their own in 2019 post-America. No earthly superhero is going to save you. There's going to be no substitute for adequately girding yourself:

Be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil. For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places.
Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil. Then after the battle you will still be standing firm. Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God’s righteousness. For shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared.
In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.
Paul, who wrote this in his letter to the church at Ephesus, knew a thing or two about this type of warfare. He dealt with it from the time of his conversion until his earthly passing.

It may be presumptuous of me to deign to add anything to what he prescribes, but I might also encourage being as savvy as one can. The snowflake-jackboots are getting increasingly crafty, and it behooves us to prepare for what they'll cook up next.

UPDTATE: This dog vomit is going on at Baylor University and Wheaton College, too.
