Nothing escapes getting politicized in 2017 post-America

All we want from you is the five-day forecast and the zoom-in / zoom-out radar map. Save this crud for your Twitter feeds:

The Weather Channel altered the entire front page of its website to warn readers of the supposed consequences of President Donald Trump’s decision to withdraw from the Paris agreement on climate change.
Every article on the front page of The Weather Channel’s website linked to panicky coverage of global warming. The site even ran a series of articles called “The United States of Climate Change” that highlighted the potential impacts global warming could have on every U.S. state.
These pieces were all meant to warn readers about Trump’s Paris agreement withdrawal.
Some of the headlines: "Still Don't Care? Proof You Should," "So What Happens To Earth Now?"

  1. Bad international PR move. I know he's so smart when you want him to be and he has to please his base, but he's such an asshole about it that he makes way more enemies than he needs to. It was process that got us into it and process should get us out. Now we're the bad guys in the world. Great work Donny! I thought you said Obama had eroded our standing which I always knew was a pile of hooie.

  2. I'm sick of this authoritarian dictator and his edicts. I know you love to love him when he makes a move you are in favor of. And the people of his nation will continue to resist. By the way, the newly installed head of the EPA has just been quoted as saying he believes in climate change, but he does not know whether Trump does. From what I've read, over 60% of those polled are against this move by the Boob.

  3. It doesn't matter how it's polling or what kind of international PR move it is. It was handled exactly correctly. No "processes."

  4. On topic, not a problem with weathers, catastrophe is very lucrative. I do not think the national weather predictions are very accurate sometimes, it is always sincere I think. Global warming.... good business.

  5. Ironic that you'd use this instance to express being sick of his edicts, Mr. Dings. The US sign-on to this idiotic document was an edict from the MEC. It ought to have been handled as a treaty - that is, presented to the Senate for ratification - or no ratification.

  6. I agree there. So during damage control it will of course be revisited. I said it was bad PR and it certainly is. The world is in an uproar, but you like it that way.

  7. I was sick of Obamas edicts too. We need to turn down the power of the Presidency.

  8. This entire administration is mere tit for tat. How can the world believe in a see saw?

  9. The Republicans who have so far stood in lock step with Mr. Trump, defending him at every turn, need to ask themselves whether they want to continue to be complicit in this institutional assault. By now it should be clear to them that having Donald Trump’s back will cost them their integrity.

    It’s not worth it.

  10. As for the politicization of climate change, I blame the deniers. They have been trying to politicize science for decades.

  11. While the world is an oyster for the affluent, the mass of men are left with a mere planet as a playground. We want clean air, clean water and our fields and forests kept free to roam. We can have more fun in canoes and kayaks than on a fancy yacht. And we like it and will fight to keep it that way.

  12. There is no reason for any country to be in the Paris Accord. It's a stupid and destructive agreement.

  13. It's an Aquarian thing you would not want to understand. Come on people now, smile on your brother, come on and protest together right now..,,

  14. Paris was 21 years in the making, stupid as you say, it was countries working together. This is a real opening for China to take whatever lead there ever was.
