Thursday night just-because music

Fats, like Clifford Brown, Booker Little, Lee Morgan and Bix Beiderbecke, departed this realm far too soon. Some mentioned here just plain met fate  - such was the case with Clifford Brown on the Pennsylvania Turnpike in 1956 - and some were just so unkind to themselves that it killed them.

The latter was the case with Fats.

In an eternity-oriented view of things, that matters far less than what he has bequeathed us.
