  3. Russia’s Investigative Committee, the country’s top investigative body, has opened an investigation into the crash of a Russian passenger jet in Egypt’s Sinai peninsula for possible violations of flight safety procedures.

Committee spokesman Vladimir Markin made the announcement in a statement Saturday.

  4. I am completely at a loss as to what your point is.

  5. I guess it's something along the lines of a scenario in which the ISIS claim is false and amounts to nothing but bluster we all have to adjust our world view.

Is that what you are driving at?

  6. Kinda thinking Russia has first dibs on being rather upset at ISIS. What are you driving at? Do we really put boots on the ground now? Or bomb the crap out of somebody? You poo poo international cooperation, so would your man or woman as Commander in Chief say 'that's it,' and seek Netanyahu's advice on going it alone?

When you say "we" in reference to world views, do you think there is unanimity in your world view?

  7. Maybe I'm twisted because the gospel at tonight's Mass was the sermon on the mount.

  9. Yeah, I'm generally skeptical of the concept of "international cooperation" and in the case of dealing with ISIS, I think it's utterly worthless. ISIS is targeting both Russia and the West, but Russia has very different aims from countries like the UK and the US. The word coming out of the talks in Vienna - people like the British foreign minister, the Saudi foreign minister and a French foreign-polly expert - is that no one except post-America believes Russia will change its tune and work for Assad's ouster. Once again, he post-American State Department looks like a bunch of clueless patsies.

  10. Yeah, I'm generally skeptical of the concept of "international cooperation." Nation-states with common interests do from time to time form alliances, but that's about it. Word coming out of this latest meeting in Vienna is that no one but post-America believes Russia will come around to a policy of seeking Assad's ouster as well as defeating ISIS (although this downed plane may alter the ISIS calibration). That's per the British foreign minister, the Saudi foreign minister, and a French foreign-policy expert. So once again, the post-American State Department looks like a bunch of clueless patsies.

  11. Well Peter the Great would be very happy with Putin's surgical skill. The rest of the world looks and scratches their heads wondering... So Peter you have, Iran, Syria, Eastern Ukraine, what's next Patagonia? So how are those satellite nations working out Peter, seems to be a lot of religious animosity there? Maybe you can put them on the wheel to your omnipotence. Good Luck Putin.
