As if the four examples in the previous post weren't toxic enough

The Biden administration's United Nations ambassador Linda Thomas Greenfield spoke Wednesday to the national convention of the National Action Network - that would be the outfit founded by race-hustler Al Sharpton, who built his career on the inflammatory Tawana Brawley and Freddie's Fashion Mart hoaxes - and made clear that she'll use her position to put the country she represents in the worst light possible on the world stage.

She holds a position with high visibility on an international scale. Does anyone doubt that the media in countries around the world will pick up on these disgusting remarks?

U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Linda Thomas-Greenfield pledged Wednesday to prioritize efforts to combat racism at home and abroad, arguing at an event that America’s history of slavery "weaved white supremacy into our founding documents and principles."

Thomas-Greenfield detailed the Biden administration’s push for racial equity during a speech at the National Action Network’s 2021 virtual convention. The ambassador said that in order for the United States to play an effective role in the United Nations’ Human Rights Council, it should first acknowledge its own challenges.

"When we raise issues of equity and justice at the global scale, we have to approach them with humility," Thomas-Greenfield said. "We have to acknowledge that we are an imperfect union and have been since the beginning. Every day we strive to make ourselves more perfect and more just. In a diverse country like ours, that means committing to do the work. It means learning and understanding more about each other."

As I noted in the post below, when Barack Obama became president, alarm bells went off among Americans who were seeking a way back to cultural health and the nation having a robust sense of itself. His apology tour and letting Hugo Chavez hand him a Noam Chomsky book in front of the world's press cameras were setbacks to America's standing on the world stage.

It's apparent that Thomas-Greenfield is going to build on that foundation and put an even bigger kick-me sign on America's back.
