This kind of animosity toward Jews and complete lack of understanding of the fact that they are indeed chosen to be the people to receive the full revelation of God's desire for the human species has no place at this blog.I think this God destroying crap is made up shit from the Jews who understandably placed their people as the apple of God's eye.

We don't do Jew-hatred here at LITD
I just deleted a comment under the post entitled "Satan's Death Grip on Post-America's Throat" from an anonymous commenter. It said this:

I posted that from a remote computer that would not accept my google log-in.I have no Jew hatred and defy you to talk to some of my Jewish friends for verification.
ReplyDeleteHalf the Jews today don't even believe a lot of that perceived hokum in the Old Testament. And those who belive the New Testament are kinda hard to find. Is that called Gentile hatred?
ReplyDeleteYou are a very sick individual.
ReplyDeleteReally? That contention is so patently absurd it does not even offend me.
ReplyDeleteHow do you get yourself up in the morning with such a dark, toxic and nihilistic worldview?
ReplyDeleteSame way you do I would presume, living a life that's full of purpose, powered by love.
ReplyDeleteFor thousands of years Jews have been taught to question and delve deeper to uncover the truth inherent in any discussion. This tradition lives on in the Jewish community despite the fact that many Jews do not study classical Jewish texts as intensely as they used to.
ReplyDeleteOne might argue that the entire literature of Jewish mysticism, otherwise known as the Kabbalah, is based on a single existential question pertaining to the meaning of the famous biblical phrase, “Hear O’ Israel the Lord our God the Lord in One” (Deuteronomy 6:4). The Jewish mystics wanted to understand what the Bible meant when it said that God is one. They question how one unified God was able to create a universe so fragmented. The question of why a God would care what humans do (or don’t do) is a question that Jewish mystics prominently ask.
These are questions that atheists also ask. It is fair to say that most Jewish metaphysicians were skeptics at heart. They doubted the simplistic way of understanding the Bible. But their motives for asking these existential questions were different than those of the atheist. For the mystic intellectual inquiry brings a deeper appreciation and understanding of the truth inherent in the words of the Bible. The atheist, conversely, questions in order to disprove. The fundamental quest for truth, however, remains similar.

"A 2011 study found that half of all American Jews have doubts about the existence of God, compared to 10–15% of other American religious groups."

"I read a few sentences. It was written in beautiful Biblical Hebrew. The language was like that of the Psalms.' One of these was the Isaiah scroll, which I saw recently in the Rockefeller Museum in East Jerusalem: sections of goat-skin parchment, sewn together, 27 feet long. I felt in the presence of something numinous, although I have been a convinced atheist since boyhood. But this document is a testament to the inexplicable persistence of the human mind, in the face of all the evidence, in believing that we are on earth for a divine purpose." Eleazar Sukenik, quoted in Justin Cartwright, 'The indestructible power of belief', The Guardian, May 27, 2000, Saturday Pages, Pg. 3.
ReplyDeleteEleazar Lipa Sukenik was an Israeli archaeologist and professor at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He is best known for helping establish the Department of Archaeology at Hebrew University and being one of the first academics recognizing the age and importance of the Dead Sea Scrolls. He also oversaw the uncovering of the Third Wall in Jerusalem. He also was the director of the Museum of Jewish Antiquities.
This post with the deleted comment was about the devil and the current state of our nation. You chose to bring Jews into it. Maybe you have heard that Lord Jesus and the apostles James and Peter referenced the Devil quite specifically. But you had to speculate that maybe the idea of the Devil destroying civilizations was "shit" put forth by the Jews.
ReplyDeleteAnd now you're desperately trying to justify your hatred of the sacred word of God by pointing up "Jewish" atheists. I put Jewish in quotes because real Jews understand that the Lord is real and deserving of our unending worship.
Again I ask: How do you live with yourself?
You're way off base and off the wall asking me that question. Shove it!
ReplyDeleteSatan had a grip on the whole world when God decided to do a remake. Satan had a grip on Sodom and Gamorrha and God destroyed those cities. Satan had a grip on the first man and woman, and God evicted them from Paradise. Wherever there is Satan God punishes the people. But he has yet to get at Satan. Go figure. And that is what science and theology are all about. Also I gave you the amswer to your asinine question. I answer the same: purpose and love.
ReplyDeleteGood Morning! Ahh, got a great 8 hours in last night in the land of nod. Hope you did too.
ReplyDeleteOh. It is actually 6:45 am. Your clock has been wrong since you established this blog. Have a bright sunshiney day man!
ReplyDeleteI'll be praying hard for you.
ReplyDeleteThanks much!
ReplyDeletePurpose and love, bro.
ReplyDeleteI prayed for goodness and love for you/yours too. Many blessings!
