The looney bin that is the post-American university

At UC Irvine, they're making up reality as they go along:

A Californian college is asking students to define themselves from one of six genders on application forms.
Beginning this year, students applying to University of California will pick from male, female, trans male, trans female, gender queer/gender non-conforming and different identity.
School officials said that the change aims to make the application process more inclusive for people who define themselves outside the traditional gender brackets.

And the inmates are definitely down with this indulgence of their narcissism and moral relativism:

Students at the school are delighted by the change.‘I feel like this is just a way of including everyone,’ student Augustine Pimentel told CBS Los Angeles.‘I don’t mind; everybody do what they want. I don’t want to judge people,’ added Nizar Hakim.Donna Taqawi said: ‘I feel like people should have their freedom to be called what they want to be called.’School officials assured that answers will be voluntary, and not impact on the decision-making process for admissions. The same college introduced gender neutral bathrooms on campus in September 2014, in a move hailed as the first of its kind in a system of colleges in the U.S.
Just wow.
